Exchange students at the Urban Management Institute of Erasmus University Rotterdam (IHS) showed enthusiasm and ambition to learn more about “open source city making” and using the value of stakeholders & end-users in their future projects during our GoCreateWithUs-Masterclass.
The Brazilian students are in the Netherlands attending IHS’ 12 month course Urban Management & Development, with a special focus on Sustainable Urbanism. Wednesday November 26 they attended our GoCreateWithUs Masterclass organized as an extracurricular activity in coordination with IHS. In the morning – packed with theoretical basics – they already showed great ambitions to be of value in their respective cities.
For example to be improving infrastructure, equality in income or getting the center of attention to people in stead of cars. With this drive the subjects and theory of our Masterclass were taken in eagerly.
In the morning program we discussed the latest trends in city making, how cocreation and open source will be a part of city making future. And we focussed on recognizing and using the value of stakeholders and end-users. For students without practical experience this could be hard to digest, so theory was animated with our practical examples. But especially the afternoon program, working on an actual case was appreciated enormously.
In different groups, the future projectmanagers, worked together on their respective cases provided by us. Mapping and categorizing stakeholders and end-users to The Stakeholder Value Canvas. Afterwards they presented the results of their respective cases with great energy and drive.
